Thank you very much Bjorn, James...errr Arthur [Dent, Arthur Dent
] and 4xxxx.
It feels nice to know people understand and are liking what I tried to potray.
I knew before posting that quality wise these shots could have been achieved much better with faster lens, tripod/monopod, FF body and of course good technique. But irrespective of quality in this case, if I don't post, you can not see what goes on and how the whole atmosphere/ambiance feels like at that place at that time!
That is why these were posted and thanks again for understanding.
For me too 5 is a favourite.
Posted #1 because a few things worked in favour of it:
1- it reflects the frustration (or similar expression) of the tantrik being thoroughly miffed at the attention of the client(!) diverted towards the mobile - screen glowing blue in the otherwise very warm lighting
2- the smoke creating an atmosphere of haze which complements the activity going on
3- light through the person's spects in contrast to the dark outlines
4- looking hard, a face is visible just behind the tantrik's turban and through the smoke curtain that face looks very ghostly
- apt for the surrounding
Bjorn, we are eagerly looking forward to the candle light and other shots you mentioned
