Just got back from Afghanistan and finally got to really meet my son. My wife thought it would be cute and contacted the company that made my kilt and had one made for my son so I setup my flash gear that I was learning while deployed to get our pic to send to the company. It was supposed to be a sunset which only needed one flash but the weather didn't work out for us. I should have setup the second flash but didn't have it with me.

Great shots Mike, I can tell from the pictures you were both happy to finally see each other!
Being interested in formal clothing (suits, tuxes, the like) I can appreciate the tradition of a kilt, but I would encourage you to wear the full ensemble (i.e. shirt, tie, jacket, vest, sporran, etc). That way it's more than a skirt and can actually look quite manly. Could be expensive to get the extra garments tailored for the little one though... :)

IT'S NOT A SKIRT!!! :P LOL I get it all the time, I don't care :D

Bjorn, I still plan to get our short waist dress uniform coat, i think it would look great with the kilt
