Not my best. I tried starting the shoot to early and could not over power the sun. By the time the conditions were right I was a little flustered. You can even see both flashes in the scene. I should have started with the individuals shots first then finish with the group.

Mike, nice shot from what I see- I like it a lot. Nits- little more leg room and a blip (LR or PS) of the lights in the black sunglasses might be nice. I like the vertical light gradient. The snap is darker at the bottom, brighter in the middle, and darker at the top. It looks like a light painting snap. If you can get the team to hold still for 30 sec, one of those might produce an interesting shot. Get some help with the lamps!

From yesterday, the surf at Snapper Rocks was 1-1/2 metres so thought I’d get a few shots with the temp around 22c. It ended up with no keepers :( but an interesting time, saw a couple of Ospreys diving for fish, 2 F18 jets go by and a while having a beer on the surf club balcony a pod of 5 whales inside the shark net, all the above where to far away for the 200 mm lens.

Waiting to get in.

No surf Tuesday but Winter at Burleigh Heads was still great.

I’m not sure what happened last time I was out, the WB was altered and the shutter setting of 1/1000 went to 1/4000, no wonder I had no keepers.

That's fantastic, I think it's great the guls are all below and the pelicans look like they're lording it over them.
