Hi, as the title says I'm new here so I hope I'm posting this in the right place, if I'm in the wrong place it was totally by accident and I'm sorry. I bought my first DSLR last month, as I'm a beginner I went with a Canon 1100D with a twin lense kit and I have to say that since I got my camera I'm having so much fun! Its given me a whole new interest and I never thought I would love photography quite so much. Its the best!!! Well, besides my telescopes, lol. I got the camera with mainly astrophotography in mind but since I've had the camera I haven't touched my telescope. the camera is keeping me busy enough and the best thing is I can still take shots of the moon and other night sky objects but my goal is to get some panoramas of the milky way one day so I want to really learn how to use my camera well before I try something like the milky way. any way, I'm glad to have found this site and hello from me :)

Welcome to the Camera Labs forum kangasnaps! Given your interest in astrophotography, be sure to check out our Technical and scientific photography section. Members like Bob Andersson and cybermystic post some awe-inspiring pictures there!
