Thank you Rex for your comment. I am happy to hear my work has inspired you to take pictures of people again. To me, people are the most interesting photographic subjects around, and I could not imagine focusing on any other genre of the photographic art.

Have chosen no. 11 as the cover of my Paris photo book that I am making at the moment. Even though it's much more distant than most of my street photography, I kind of like it too. This is the first lay-flat photo album I am making, so I am interested in how it will turn out.

Following up on DP-PARIS' recommendation (in one of his Paris threads here) to stroll around le Marais and walk through Rue Aubriot, here is a picture from the street where Helmut Newton shot one of his famous pictures. Sold for 78,000 dollars in 2007, the kind of amount I wouldn't mind receiving for one of my prints...

By the way, in case you want to see a slightly larger version of any of these images (2400 pixels), just copy the image URL and replace the "s1024" near the end of the link with "s0".

Just ordered my Paris photo book, using picture no. 11 as the cover image. For those who would like to see the book (or get a preview of some images I have yet to upload), here's the proofs. There is no way to save it in better quality or without the word Proof all over the document, but it should give you an idea of what it will look like.

Also: don't you just hate it when you find a typo AFTER you place and upload the order?

Happy to report that the printing service was fast enough to cancel my order so I could correct the typo. Learned my lesson though, check the text much more thoroughly next time!

A two-snap series from Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris today. Anyone who's visited the park must have seen the pond with the little wooden sailboats. It's very entertaining to see how kids play with the boats and try to launch them all the way to the other side.

My entry into May's Assignment themed "The Great Outdoors". Not quite as great (ito outdoorsiness) as some of the other entries I suppose, but Jardin du Luxembourg certainly is a great park!

I just took the time to see all of the photos in this thread and I'll say that this is an excellent set of images, I really like them. Normally it'd be hard to choose a winner, but I really liked #15, the composition, the idea, the moment, it's all great.

Thanks for posting, good job :)

Thank you very much Piero! I still have a couple more pictures I would like to post, as I really took quite a lot of photos on this first trip to Paris. Have you ever had the pleasure of visiting Paris?
