This starling was eyeing up the fat balls we'd just hung out. It kept flying off and coming back, eventually plucking up enough courage to have a feed.

Great separation too between the bird and the background. If you do this kind of photography more often, try placing a stick somewhere above the ground for the birds to sit on, it makes for a more appealing/natural element that this metal bar.

Many thanks for the comment and the tip, Bjorn. I've seen the same tip about the stick trick somewhere else online, so I'll have to give it a try someday :)
