I made it out to Straddie a few weeks ago, and had a beautiful weekend there. Enjoy the shots. Any critiques, suggestions, and tips you have for me to improve is more than welcome!

Looks like you are getting around a bit Adam. Although the skys are blue, I think some -EV would help darken them. Wth the sun we have I use -0.7 EV all the time outdoors on a Nikon.

Cheers

Seriously man...Australia rocks!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try messing around with the exposure this weekend. I did notice in a bunch of my pictures that the skies turned out lighter than I wanted them to. The color of the sky in your July contest pic is what I was hoping for! By the way, sweet beach. That's in the gold coast?

That shot has -0.7 EV, without it my skies look blown out on the Nikon.

Cabarita is about 25 minutes south of the border, that beach is a few k south of the village, If you go turn left at the first roundabout after the village it will take you to the top of the small escarpment. The pub in the village has good beer also which is right on the beach, across the road also on the beach is a surf club.

Cheers
