Well there is my old report on this famous lens from 2009 comparing it to a Sigma 10-20mm zoom on a DX-body (then D300). But with the advent of the demanding D800 I thought about doing a proper review with all the usual tests and insights that you come to expect from my lens reviews here at Camera Labs.
And that's what I've just finished, following on the heels of my Nikon AF-S 18-35/3.5-4.5G review and ahead of my write-up on the Nikon 16-35/4.0G VR.
So here is my Nikon AF-S 14-24mm 2.8G ED review.

I wanted to offer a belated thanks for your review. I am considering various ultra-wide and wide lenses.

You're welcome RexGig!
You are looking for a full-frame lens/zoom?

Yes. There is no particular hurry, as I am well-equipped with Canon lenses, including the quite nice EF-S 10-22mm, but I am trending toward cropped-frame Canons and FX/35mm Nikons, so my future wide and ultra-wide zooms will likely be Nikkors.
