Anyone already opted for Lightroom 5? Seriously considering it since I'm still on 3. Can't wait to see the new spot removal brush in action.

If you haven't seen the 2012 Process engine in action, you need to get on that. LR3 is like the stone age in comparison...

LR5 is supposedly even better than 4, which I'm currently on. LR5 will be next week methinks.

i've been using lr 5 beta and will be upgrading to lr 5 soon. i didn't fall in love with the spot removal brush, but i do like the new lens corrections. the spot removal brush feels cumbersome to use, it's not as useful as the clone tool in photoshop. i always find myself trying to readjust it and then just deleting it to fix later in ps.

Looks like they already found a big batch of issues with the first release

I am running the full (non-beta) version 5 (upgrade to 4.4). So far I am very pleased with it. It seems quite a bit faster than version 4 and the new spot healing brush has had extensive testing  . I also like the new radial tool that allows off center vignettes.

It is advertised to support CameraRaw 8.1 but I can't find a link on Adobe's site to allow me to download it. Does anybody have one?

i updated to the full 5.0 too. no issues as of yet, though i've seen quite a few issues talked about on the internet.

mirageii - check to make sure you don't have 8.1, it updated automatically for me when i upgraded. go to help>about lightroom 5.0. in the dialogue that pops up it should have version 5.0 and camera raw 8.1 written in light grey in the upper right corner. next to where it says adobe lightroom 5.0 in big letters.
