I am pretty excited about the 5D3 , I have been saving up (and waiting) for the 5D3 for a while. I will not be going all out on a 1D X as that is too big for my taste. I just want the dynamic range and high ISO capability in the slightly smaller package. Just a month or two more and it shall be mine! aha.

It's all over the net, but in case you haven't seen it, Canon have announced a firmware is in development which will give clean HDMI video out, and also bring in centre point f/8 AF like the 1D X. Availability expected in April, so don't hold your breath.

That's pretty nice - a long time to wait but I guess that's more of a tactic in order to sell some 1DX cameras, which get it much earlier but they still want (possible) 5D3 users to get a 5D3 over a 6D.

Sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean exactly with "clean HDMI video out"? Does the 5D MKIII have an issue with HDMI video? Thanks :)

Maybe clean wasn't the right word, but the notes say "uncompressed" so should give higher quality than compressed.

The Canon 5d Mark II looks good but the 6D will give a bit better low light images and costs 1/2 the price FF. Available in Dec2012

Well I am not sure with what you can prove your arguments, the 6D has not been yet tested as far as I know, also, the 5D MKIII has quite some more advantages over the 6D, for example, more focusing points (both cross-type and linear), better movie mode, etc. (I really don't know much about this two cameras to be honest)

I think he referred to the II, and not the III ;)
Doesnt mean I agree with him though, but just wanted to point it out!

I find myself being impatient waiting for the battery to finish charging up.

This should be a bit of an upgrade from my old XTi/400D.
