Here are my remaining people/street shots from Phnom Penh in Cambodia. My Siem Reap shots were posted in a previous thread:

6, 7, 8 are the pick of the crop for me.

There are some awkward crops in some of the earlier images.

Thanks for sharing! I agree that 6, 7, and 8 are the best three. Number 7 captured my attention the quickest, though choosing a single favorite is difficult.

I like no. 2 as well. Sure, the framing is less than ideal, but the expression on the kids face is interesting. No. 6 is definitely my favorite though. Nice set of images Kimchi!

Thanks for the comments.

I agree about the framing. Most of these were just opportunities which presented themselves. I move in close and shoot. When reviewing the shots later in the day, I always look at the background, the light, and the framing and can see how I could have taken that particular image better. Lots of missed opportunities never to be repeated.

I'm not skilled enough to be able to see a moment and capture it while taking into consideration all the aspects of what makes a good photo. Being critical of your own images and encouraging others to do the same and then going back out to shoot is the only way to improve imo, so thanks for the feedback.

As Henry Cartier-Bresson once said, your first 10,000 photos are your worst (and that was during the film era!)

I really should add that I enjoyed ALL of the images! :) My previous reply was my attempt to critique the images, themselves. As a documentation of your walking about this city, however, all of your images are excellent. Thanks for sharing! You and Bjorn are are making me want to photograph people again. :)

(My evidentiary/crime scene photography has had the effect of tending to kill the joy of photographing people.)
