Hi folks,

I haven't done much terrestrial photography of late but I captured this shot on Monday, partly as a reminder of how beautiful the Lake District can be and partly because I knew I could do better than my estate agent (realtor) when it came to capturing a view. They agreed as they used it at full page width! :P

Shame about the lamp post but cloning it out would amount to misrepresentation. :(

Bob.

Now that's a view to wake up to! My dad would love this too, he's really into sailboats.

Pretend it's not a lamppost, but erm... a novelty mast. If you hadn't mentioned it, I probably wouldn't have noticed... anyway, there seems to be something wrong with that image. What's the blue stuff where the cloud should be? :D

This one gives me a calming feeling, not that I'm stressed. Like Popo I would not have noticed the lamp post. I imagine it feels good for the real estate printing it, nice work.

Cheers

popo stole my line, its so beautiful, because its the one day of year the sun shines.

I have seen many beautiful photos of the Lake district, must visit one day. It seems the mist, clouds and fog that make the photos. Certainly adds interest atmosphere and drama.

Blue sky, harsh sun, and haze doesn`t make for good landscape photography.

I agree with everyone, I actually didn't notice the lamp post until you mentioned it. Beautiful place, that is :)

What a view! I miss the lakes, I use to spend a week up there every year. What fells are those in the view by the way?
Like the others, I didn't notice the lamp until you pointed it out, I thought that it was a mast and small boat

Excellent! The lamp post blends well with the boats' masts.

The blue stuff in the upper portion of the image is not so unexpected, but what is that white stuff sprinkled on those big mounds of earth?

(I have been confined to the flat Texas Coastal Prairie too long!)
