first let me say that I really appreciate the nice reviews on the cameralabs page, I find them very thorough yet easy to understand.
I would like to seek some advice as I am looking for a telephoto lens. I have a Nikon D7000 with a 18-105 mm kit lens and in addition I have a standard 35 mm f/1.8 lens for low light conditions. Now I am looking for a telephoto lens and of course there is the Nikkor_70-300mm Nikkor 70-300mm VR
that springs to mind. I also found the Nikkor 55-300 mm which seems a bit cheaper but I didn't find a complete review on that one, so I was wondering if anybody can say anything about it.
[edit:] another Lens that received good reviews in some places (there is no review on cameralabs or if so, I didn't find it) is the Tamron AF 70-300mm 4-5.6 Di SP VC USD. I don't really know anything about Tamron as a brand; it is typically a bit cheaper than the Nikkor ones, but I have no idea how that translates into optical quality [/edit]
Of course there are other, yet more impressive things like the 80-400 mm out there, but those are clearly outside my budget.
Any comments, hints or advice in this matter would be gladly appreciated.
