There was a lot of wind today, and when I say a lot I mean A LOT of wind, at least for Mexico City that is. I'm hoping for clear skies tomorrow as the wind seems to have carried the smog away. Let's see what we can do :)

Next week I'll be walking around in Paris! Cannot wait to shoot some new street material, especially in a city like Paris.

pierovera, that wind is blowing in Texas, too! I wanted to shoot some flowers last night, but focusing is a such a challenge in the wind, I did not bother.

Bjorn, enjoy shooting in Paris! I really should fly across the pond, someday, and see Europe, with Paris being near the top of the list.

The weather is back to normal here 25-30c for the first month of Autumn, I just can’t get my enthusiasm/inspiration going to shoot anything. I take the camera out everywhere and shot 2 pics in the last 10 weeks. :(

Cheers

Now this is a bit "train of thought" like, considering the post before mine: I was thinking about how I love how people here are from completely different places on earth, which really makes the pictures very diverse. What seems really exiting to me is completely normal for someone else and the other way around. And it all mixes here, that's very cool!

The Redbud trees and Bluebonnets are blooming fully in Houston; I must go for a drive outside the city! (Houston surrounds my small home city.) Optimum habitat for these are in different directions, northeast and west. The Roseate Spoonbills and Great Egrets are in breeding plumage, so I must, also, try to make time to drive to High Island and the Bolivar Peninsula, along the coast, which is to the south and east. There is so much to see, before the oppressive summer heat starts. Life is good! :)

yes the internet is cool, bit like the weather today after 36 c yesterday. It only got to 18C here today and its raining. Helped put out some of the grass fires that were burning around the state. I think this will be the end of the summer for us.

BrotundSchmetterling :D cool name.

Klingt nur etwas seltsam :D Das ist ein Name, der auf Englisch wirklich besser kommt. Brot und Butter(-fliege). :D

So yeah - the internet is very international if you are on English forums. In other forums (like those from Germany) you hardly ever see people from somewhere else. OK, there is a huge musicians' forum im Germany in which I am a moderator and we have another moderator from Japan but he's originally from Germany as well. You hardly ever see users from other countries in German forums and I guess it's similar with other languages - apart from English, which is spoken all over the world.

Here we are waiting for spring for two months now. We still have a temperature around 0-5°C and there's no green to see on the trees. Usually in the end of march the temperature is somewhere around 10-15°C. I just guess they are going to skip this season; Winter --> Summer (30°C +) within four days or something.

While I would also like it to warm up, I do hope it isn't too fast otherwise we will have thermal shock! I'll be in Germany for work in a couple of weeks... will have at least one free day to look around.

In Southeast Texas, the temperatures are actually still winter-like, barely above freezing for several nights earlier this week, holding to the general trend that cold fronts will keep arriving until Easter. The typical coastal Texas winter is periods of spring-like weather, interrupted by "northers," cold fronts that bring harsh wind and rain.

Jiko, your post just might prompt me to start visiting forums in languages other than English. :) I really should start working on my Spanish, as there are so many Spanish speakers in my area, and also give some attention to other European languages. In a way, this Cameralabs forum is in a second language, as I try to use proper English here, rather than some of the vernacular I might use on a USA-centric forum, if y'all know what I mean.
