Thrushes. Both pics taken through the sitting room window, so more comfortable than some of the spots that Wolfsong ends up in!

Nice shots, guys :)
That Blue Jay shot is cool, Rui! I'm really getting a wide angle feeling!

beautiful max.

Im sitting at home snowed in... highways to town are closed and I cant even get out of the driveway. We got another 10cm of snow 2 days ago and yesterday we started getting winds of 80kph needless to say we have drifts over a meter high and its supposed to blow till late tonight and at that point we are supposed to get another 10cm of snow. In town, Im 60km out, 1/2 the streets are now closed and the city is almost at a standstill from what they are saying on the news. And they say its spring... the next 24 hours will be interesting in this neck of the woods

On the bright side I just got an invitation to head back to the Great Bear Rainforest for the first week in June but to a different area from where I was before. This time I will be going to its northern reaches to Canada's only grizzly bear sanctuary with a team of photographers headed by one of National Geographic's photographers who I was with before in the area but this time we will be about 140km north of where we were for the kermode bear expedition. As he puts it it will be a "hyper-focus on Grizzlies". The other nice thing will be our home base will be the same sailboat we were on for the previous expedition meaning a captain who is more familiar with the area and its bears than anyone I know. I should know by early next week if I can free up the time for it.

For those new to this site here is a link to my previous outing to the area. The sailboat shown in the thread below will be the same one we will be on the only difference will be we will be flown by float plane to and from the boat as it will already be on location waiting for us to save travel time and increase photography time. Mike Beedell, is also shown and mentioned in my write-up below.

Im keeping my fingers crossed that I can make this work but it is looking good right now.

Good set Max, I've never seen them here. Did you use the 1.4 extender on the 300 lens.

Wolf, sounds like a great trip., how could you miss it.

Cheers
