Im at a loss as to why this is, I have a couple of 3rd party battery packs that work fine in my 7D, the problem I have is I had to replace my charger recently and the battery packs will not charge in the new charger (it is an import charger with the two prongs and not a UK spec one) It will charge my Canon battery no problem, When I put the 3rd party batterys in my body they show 3 green so the camera is saying there good for charge, would an imported charger cause a none charge problem ? if I buy a new UK speck charger will I still have this problem?

Could be to do with the rate of charge and the heat being generated. In general a rechargeable battery will stop charging if it gets too hot (a very useful safety feature). However, a charger designed to run at 110 volts works differently to a charger running at 240 volts. Check the power rating of the charger and the milliamp/hour charge rating and see how this compares to your old charger.

The OEM battery might be able to cope with the different charge rate (being designed for all World voltages) whilst the 3rd party batteries cannot.
