So your lens does operate with the auto exposure system - ie, is it just the focus that's wrong?
Check your camera's LCD on top. You may see a letter with a couple of bars behind it - if so, this would mean that the lens is not making a connection with the camera's electrics. It could just mean dirty contacts (a thing I'd always check first, even if the lens is new), a loose fit when the lens mounts on the camera or (you don't want to hear) a defect in the lens.
I have an old 24mm AIS (manual focus) lens with no electronic contacts and I still get focus confirmation in the viewfinder. I assume you're still getting that, which would mean not a camera problem, but check all contacts and clean if necessary, but try and keep away from fluids.
Absoule is a new lens and never used in a dirty condition or wet day. The problem is the focus ring is not all moving any direction. if use manual focus on auto focus mode it works well. So i think only the focus is the problem(?). anyway i am going to show to a professional photographer to see whether my setting is ok with this lens. if the problem still there, I need to take it the service center.
Thanks for your valuable reply and time. appreciated!!!
