Like in the UK, we have been lucky (I like snow, so I think lucky) to have some snow here in Paris over the last few days. It is also snowing again now!

A few photos taken yesterday and Friday night. Hope you like the. Click on a photo to see the full gallery.

Thought I had seen stunning pictures of Place Vendome but this last one is even better. I too like snow and in Paris it seems to increase the romantic atmosphere further still. Great set of images!

I will be visiting Paris for the first time (I know, took me long enough living just a 3h train journey away) at the end of March, so there won't be any snow by then (unless environmental changes kick in faster than expected). Cannot wait to roam the Parisian streets with my Leica and get back to shooting street again.

Thanks for the inspiration!

- Bjorn

You and your Leica will be right at home here in Paris. The night snow shots were all taken with 35mm. Canon though, so not as chic as your M9:) Have fun in Paris!

The camera doesn't matter: Canon, Leica... these pictures are great, because you took them.
Though of course I'll be the first to admit what a pleasure it is to be able to use a Leica. Still considering renting an extra lens (28 or 35mm), but since I also intend to purchase a 28mm Elmarit this year, I'm thinking I should save that money for now. Gotten used to the 50mm focal length and I am sure I can work with it.

I find 35 works well in Paris. 50 does too, though I prefer 35, especially in some of the narrower streets. I also use 24, though not often, so 28 should be quite nice too. Good luck.
