Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Switzerland, UAE, Oman, Nigeria and Tahiti are currently competing in the Intercontinental Cup for Beach Soccer in Dubai.
The tournament started yesterday and runs for 5 days. Each day starts at 4:30 and runs into the night, so dusk/night lighting is the conditions.
Day 1 was good fun, and on Day 2 (today) I got media access pitch side. I'll be popping along tomorrow as well.
FAO Ian - please don't broadcast my access on UAE-Photo! I want to keep the hoards at bay!
These shots are with the 70-300 at around f6.3 or the 85mm at around f1.4 on the D700. Obviously varying ISO depending on the light and aperture. Having a ball (excuse the pun) so far!

More to come as I've literally 100's to process, including a great piece of individual skill from a Tahiti striker. Shutter speeds were kept as high as possible to freeze the motion and the sand as much as possible. I WILL get cheerleader portraits tomorrow!
