I hope that I'm in the right place now, I have been using my Nikon D100 for some time now, as I am living and working in London. I took a number of photos after the attempted London bomb attacks and I was lucky to have them picked up by CNN, and a magazine ( Eye Spy Intelligence Magazine ) after a long chat and plenty of encouragement from the editor I have had a number of my photos published in the magazine. Every time I go into the city I can't help myself, I have to take photos of everything and anything ( my wife thinks I'm mad ) I have just bought a Nikon D200 and I should have it by the weekend, I can't wait.

Hi snapperjack,

Congratulations. You say that "I was lucky to have them picked up by CNN, and a magazine". Was that luck or did you have to do some legwork? I'm sure other members will be interested to know how you managed to get the photos on the editor's desk.

Bob.

Hi Bob,
When I took the photos I stored some of them on flickr and then I put some on my blogger site, the media seem to do on line searches and this is how they found them. I have found that every time you update your flickr & blog site put your web address with the photo this will move you up in the search engines for free.

Well i dont knw if u can call it going pro, but i gota part time job on weekends shooting pictures of people at the clubs here in Malmö :P nothing that i m proud of but sure gives me the extra cash for a couple of hours work...but of course then i dont bother producing a great shot, they told when i got the job "no need for GREAT shots" just put the camera on auto and fire away. So i told them "okay"

i like the ideas u guys have about the still photo section, with architecture and whot not!
