I'm sat here watching the rain again :( & was thinking how different our needs will be depending on location and the seasons (and choice of subject)

You guys in Oz will probably be wearing shorts & T-shirts, while those in Canada will no doubt be in their `Canada-goose` parkas, while here in the UK we mainly just need waterproofs ......all year round!

I wear what I'd normally wear, honestly.

As for Ruben123's tourist idea, just wear some Stars and Stripes, shout "Speak American foo!!!"", and be generally obnoxious. =P

In general I also just wear normal/everyday clothes, but bought a pair of those Stealth Gear trousers to keep me dry while out walking. They're also quite warm for the colder weather & have plenty of pockets etc.

Last year I bought a Harkila coat/jacket which is great in the rain & not too warm for the summer showers/rain either. If it's really cold I just wear a fleece or another coat under it.

Sturdy walking boots are a must have though, Summer OR Winter, if i'm out in the countryside. (yak-trax too if icy)

ATM it would consist of a dry (as opposed to a wet) suit and a boat as it's raining again
Weather has been pants this year with lots of rain and localised flooding.

Otherwise, wear fairly normal clothes, the only things that get chosen specifically would be the footwear and outer shell to suit the conditions and terrain.

I have wondered about something along the lines of the fishermans/photographers vest, but would never get the full use out of it.

Sure has been another wet Summer AD (think that's 6 in a row now) & you seem to have had the worst of it down there.

I quite like some of those vests too, but same as you, I probably wouldn't use it enough.
If i'm taking a couple of cams/lenses out I just use the small slingshot on my back, but usually I go out with 1 cam & lens attached so I don't end up lugging the extra weight around.

I did buy a cheap camo. camera & lens waterproof cover so I don't have to rush off at the first sign of rain if i'm already out, but with the weather we've had recently I aint even started out!

Thinking about it, I suppose `clothing` can also apply to your gear, again depending on seasons & location.
Do you guys in dry/dusty countries, or wet, or very cold places use any extra protective products?

Who said that?

Seriously though Mike, do you have the `Canada goose` type protective clothes in Winter? Your minus temps are way lower than most of us have to endure.

Camo here too
Here's a shot approaching one of my trailcams with bait....
Winter (warm) and fall camo mixed...

Chasing Osprey's in summertime....short sleeves even :)

I even wear it while on vacation
Newfoundland 2006 crossed the province on four wheeler 830km.
This taken atop the Topsail Gaff, a rock in the middle of nowhere elev. 900ft in high winds and between downpours.
The very best stuff comes in camo,it will keep you dry even at 80km per hr on a wheeler/quad.
Even the rubber boots are camo!!

Is that a reflection from flash or are there lights in her jacket? That's some serious Tron stuff there.

Robbon...invisible is good!!

Yes...reflective tape/strip on her jacket plus a flash....darn those point and shoot, always flash on photographers

Took some convincing to get her there,it was pretty windy and the drop off right behind us was a sight in itself.
Note her death grip on my jacket and even MY hair standing in the wind

Our Camo gear here seems to have some orange and red in it, apparently animals don`t see in that colour range. But stops you being mistaken for deer etc.
