I took some photos with a white backdrop with the intention of making it white in photoshop, as the backdrop looked grey in the photo.
I have done this in photoshop...

does this look too processed? Is there a better way to do it?

White seamless is hard to do, no doubt. I will say without a doubt, yes, it's way too processed/fake looking as it stands, so I'd do my best to minimize the fold lines in the paper and leave it grey.

Thank you for your reply, really informative.
Unfortunately seemless paper was not an option and its trying to get a white background using post processing.

For starters, most folks use a green screen/background, not a white screen/background (because Bayer sensors are more sensitive to green). Second, if you have CS5 or higher, you can get better masks with the Refine Edge tool/option. Third, adding a drop shadow will also make the results look more natural.

funny you should say about shaddows, used exposure settings for the backgruond instead of painting it white and was left with a shaddow...

I decided to ditch the pure white background and smoothed out the creases of the background in photoshop and think it looks better...

Soooo much better by working with what you have and not trying to force the pure white

Now just some blemish retouches (girl's chest, baby's face in a few shots, etc.) and you've got absolute winners mate!
