I agree with you HikingMike and I understand your idea, if you are already part of the system of any brand, it's best to stay with it and compare the products within the company's other products, but if you're starting in the DSLR market with a FF camera, I think it's worth considering the D600 because it does have some superior points over the 6D, but the 6D is a really good FF DSLR on it's own as well, I think it has been criticized too much.

ur not the only one, in fact I bought a 5DII a couple of days ago here in China, gotta say I like this one more than the 6D, the AF and higher ISO doesnt matter as I mainly do Architecture on the 5DII :P
