Read the quote you plonker MF=Medium Format! DOH.

I can ask questions, just like you, but you don't have to answer. (i'm on the right track though eh  )

I guessed as much re parents. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder (& I don't mean electronics! )

You really need to give up typing & spouting rubbish......it must be giving you a bad headache.

I know you're still there Zem, but probably also quickly reading up on Medium Format. (& to tell us they aren't up to your high standards!)

You really do need to get out more.

Hopefully when he's grown up a bit more & maybe even used a camera, he'll re-read this thread & think ......`what the hell was I saying?`

I wouldn't count on it though.

DATA IS DATA AND NOT THE EQUIVALANT OF DAMNED NEGATIVE FILM!

Actually, speaking as professional photographer - Yes, yes it is. RAWs are the digital negatives. I have a clause in all my contracts that clearly states I retain full ownership of RAW files because they are the basis from which all processed (developed) files are derived. Most photographers (me included) prefer to retain full control over the quality and character of the presentation of our work. The developing process is what dictates the final quality of a photo. There is a particular member here who shoots fairly well, but whose processing (developing) completely lets their skill down. While you can't polish a turd (yea yea, mythbusters), you can definitely overcook a masterpiece (which I've definitely been guilty of).

I'm obviously glossing over the whole creativity/composition aspect as well, but merely speaking from a technical aspect, the above is why RAWs are negatives, and why most photographers aren't willing to distribute RAWs. You basically "own" their work if you have their RAW.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it....

Instead of what you're smoking already....

I certainly hope you don't! That's illegal, immoral and just a little bit sick if you did.

It might explain a few things though!

I can take it, unlike some people! LOL

I think the keyboard on his $2000 computer needs replacing.

Or his Samsung mobile really hasn't got a very good spellcheck. You would have thought, with all the research he's done, he would have gone for a handheld with a better spellcheck

I hope, when the moderators finally catch up, that they don't delete too much of this thread.

This is the most lively that the Cameralabs forum has been in years.

Thanks ZEMBANU

This should be sticky-ed, framed and shared on other forums

The only thing good I got out of this thread were the latest pics plymor and ruben showed me thanks!, I have to cuss and scream just to get them.

With a new word "process" and new ideas to search terms I should be able to find what I am looking for,
thanks to those who contributed to me.

No thanks to dubaiphil I am in a VEEEEEEERRRRRYYYYYYY BBBBAAAAADDDDD MOOD and I did not read your last 3 post as you are still on my ignore list and I cant see your post.

I just read the rules to the social.bioware.com forum, the insults some of you posted to be would not be allowed and I am not sorry for all the remarks I have posted no matter how obscene as as some you (you know who you are) deliberately provoked me into it!

I wouldn't accept your apologies anyway! And yes, I know you can see my posts.

And have you checked out the last image that ruben shared.....?

Checked closely.....?
