Hello Gordon

Sorry but I'm going to cancel my order for two, one of which was for my second camera. It was always a luxury thought but I now do not have a second DSLR and the strap I have is fine for my needs.

Hi everyone, good news! I have placed an order for a new batch of straps which should be ready to deliver from mid-December.

There will be two types: the original Utility strap, which is great for DSLRs, and a new thinner strap, ideal for mirrorless cameras and compacts. Both will come with a quick access sling strap, allowing you to carry the strap diagonally across your body and quickly access your camera.

The price will be approximately $25 USD plus postage and packing on top.

More information to follow as soon as I can, but I just wanted to let you know! If you're interested, please keep an eye on this thread in the Bags, Cases, Straps and filters section on the forum. I'll also update my social media channels on Twitter, Facebook and G+ when I have more news.

Gordon

Hi Gordon. I've found myself unexpectedly in the market for an additional strap, so count me in!

Got links to exactly which types they are? I'd go for one more like the original batch, but would also consider the other.

Hi everyone, specifically popo (!), here's a link to the sling strap product page:

http://optechusa.com/utility-strap-sling.html

I'll be selling this with the Utility strap, and a version with a thinner strap which Optech call the Fashion strap.

I'm only ordering 50 of each, so once they go on sale, get in there quick!

Gordon

Many thanks Gordon I have ordered my strap. I am still interested in a second one but will give others time to get one too. If there are still straps available later on I will go for a second one.

Just to let you know that my strap arrived this morning in the post :D :D :D

I have to admit that the Uni-loop connector was a bit tight/difficult to fit, until I thought about it and used some cotton thread to pull it through the camera strap lug (the lug on new Pentax K-30 has a very thin slot!).

Also, I didn't realise that the strap is actually designed for right handed use, but to honest, I have found that it has little/no impact in use so far and I don't anticipate any issues in the future.

Very happy bunny, thanks Gordon.

Mine arrived in sunny Manchester on 29th December. I'm very pleased with it, especially since it's a sling style OpTech strap, meaning it is different from the normal OpTech strap I currently have (I hadn't spotted it was this type of strap when I ordered). It works very well on my D7000, even with an SB-600 attached.

Hello Gordon,

I just placed my order for two utility straps and I hope I was not too late. Will the Utility strap be fine for the D7000?
