Another 2-pack of 16gb CF cards... getting ready to solo a rather long wedding in January, want to make sure I've got backup :)

Accidentally almost checked out with a 5D3 and a 24/1.4 II in my cart though. The $4300 price made me do a triple-take and thankfully I caught it lol (never cleared my cart from the previous days' window shopping)...

Just got the (Samyang) Rokinon 35mm f/1.4 in the mail last night. Haven't had too much time to fiddle with it yet, but so far it feels nice.

+1 for fast primes!

27" iMac with 3.2Ghz i5 processor. Only added a 3TB Fusion Drive in the customization stage, will add RAM myself.
Can't wait to start processing M9-P images on that large display!

Nice purchase Bjorn! By the way, did you consider using SSDs instead of an HDD? I've heard they're pretty good

lol! good choice! from what we were talking about on FB, there was no way you could go wrong.

I just picked up a Pelican 1510 with padded dividers.

The site didn't designate what color it will be, I'm okay with any color except for orange.

Unlike lucky Americans, popular devices take time to arrive here.

Just arrived, my latest gadget:
iPad mini (white, 64GB, LTE/Cellular):

Thanks guys! I did indeed consider SSD, but since the Fusion Drive integrates the speed of 128GB of SSD with the capacity of, in my case, 3TB of HDD seamlessly, that seemed to be the most attractive option. Plus a decent amount of SSD storage is still way too expensive.

Also just ordered my first iPhoto photo book. Wasn't really satisfied with another service I'd used before, but so far Apple's printing service is great. Very easy (though a little too restricted) album design, which only took me about 1.5h (granted, it was only 25 pages). Should arrive near the end of this week...

John: I hear default color is purple nowadays.

Even with the prices of SSDs dropping like crazy, I'd still rather take a spinning drive for storing large quantities of data. While SSDs make great boot drives and are awesome for quick read speeds, constant writing of data onto them can actually wear them out and deteriorate performance over time. With the price of spinning drives dropping just as quick, I'd much rather pick up a couple of WD Caviar Blacks, or even for maximum performance, a couple of 1TB or 500GB 10 000 RPM Velociraptors with a RAID0 setup.

Regarding the Fusion Drives, if I'm not mistaken they store your software onto the SSD and gradually move it over to the spinning drives over time if it's not being used (or does it start on the spinning drive and micrate to the SSD?), which is all fine and dandy, but even with a 64 bit OS and CS5 with plenty of other software installed onto a 120GB drive, there should still be enough space to store ALL of your software. I don't know why Apple didn't just decide to store all software onto the SSD and then migrate it as the drive was almost filled, my OS/software partition currently only had about 70GB worth of data on it and I don't see it hitting the 160GB limit anytime soon.

You should have a bit more control if you order the photo book with Apple Aperture.

The orange is a special order color I believe so you should be good.
You could get it camo dipped after you get it and it won't matter what color it ...was.
Seriously considering it for my orange one,I couldn't refuse the price or be picky on mine

Just ordered a new Go Pro Hero 3 "Black Edition" to upgrade from the Hero 2.
