No, (if you are talking about my picture,) that picture is straight from the camera. It was a full moon rising up over a lake in northern Wisconsin on a dark night - just a very odd colored moon that became yellow then almost white as it rose higher in the sky. I was sitting on a deck up on a hill and saw the moon rise, so I ran down to the lake to watch it come up over the trees and water. It was worth getting eaten alive by mosquitoes to get that picture, and I took several of the moon just as it was rising above the trees. It was taken with a Canon Powershot SX 150 IS, F/5.6, 1/60 sec., ISO-400. My date/time function on that camera is broken, but I believe it was the night of the 4th of July, 2012, so there may have been lingering smoke in the sky from fireworks. I tried several different settings that night, but that is the one that came out the truest to what I was seeing.

I'm not sure if I posted that picture in the right thread. It certainly isn't as technical as most of the beautiful shots already posted here, but it was the best I know how to do with the camera I had with me that night.

Thank you 4xxxx, Pierovera, and Lagnificent. I have many moon shots, but not as wonderful as some of the pictures here as far as the technical aspect goes. (Old Carlos, and others - beautiful pictures!) I probably posted in the wrong section, but the moon (and its many moods) is fascinating, isn't it? No moon here tonight. We can barely see across the road due to the fog tonight.

Here was my best effort of capturing the Moon and Jupiter last week.



You can just about make out Jupiter's cloud banding but I really wish I had a telescope!
