Hard to say - since 2009 I lost ONE lens cap. OK - sometimes I had to look for it for a while.

I bought some games and books, nothing camera relevant.

Software for the brain - I will be attending a "Speedliter's Intensive" presentation tomorrow, by Syl Arena, in Houston, Texas. Syl is the author of a most excellent recent book on the subject of using Canon Speedlites. The book, of course, is available from Amazon, and by clicking-through to Amazon via the link here on Cameralabs, a small amount from the sale will benefit Cameralabs.

A 15" 2.6GHz Macbook Pro with the antiglare display...Should be quite an upgrade from my 2006 Macbook 1.1 for which I've bought an optical drive caddy to house a ssd and I'm gonna upgrade the original hard drive (60Gb) to a ssd also. Will be nice to be able edit RAW in lightroom without having to wait for the adjustments to keep up, and to have a (com)puter wagon that I can bring with me to back up on and not have to take excessive care of. Delivery scheduled for tomorrow but I'll be driving 250 miles to pick up some rental strobes before driving another 150miles to the shoot and then another 200 home... 18 hour day... Ill just have to wait :(

The Speedliter's Intensive presentation was well-worth the cost! I am now comfortable controlling the flashgun menu with the camera's menu, and using the remote (slave) flashguns in groups. I learned more about using my 580EX II as a master, became better acquainted with the proper use of gels, and received a detailed introduction to the new 600EX-RT and ST-E3-RT.

I am glad I did not stretch my budget to purchase a 600EX-RT beforehand, as I had consdered doing. The 600EX-RT is indeed wonderful, but I should wait until I can afford to purchase at least two of them, as there is, otherwise, only one relatively minor feature that I woud gain over a 580EX II, that being a greater zoom range.

Well today I found one in - of all places - the shed in the backyard. Maybe more will turn up over time, but I'm not optimistic that it'll be any time soon at this rate.

Pentax K-30 body. The recent price drop here in the UK, together with the cash back, I couldn't resist :D Just waiting for some decent weather now

A small oversight, I have yet to get my hands on a WR lens to use with it!
I wonder might be next on my shopping list......?
