Sorry to bring up another forum up here, but DPReview's massive forums used to be the place to go, but they have become like an old people's home. All the zeal, energy, spontaneity and adventure have gone out of them.

Just in one day, today, they deleted about 275 posts from a single forum, just because they weren't mild and passive enough. Not joking! The new owners consider any thought-provoking post as an intrusion.

I have been on that site for 11 years and have never seen it so bad. Pretty soon, all they'll end up with a bunch of senior citizens exchanging pet pics (actually it's like that now).

That's a pity, since those forums used to be vibrant.

I can't speak for the policy or approach of another site's forum, sorry!

But we're still here if you'd like to chat!

I appreciate that Gordon. Thanks. Out there if you complain about your camera they'll delete your thread, and call you a troll. It's getting really weird with the new corporate ownership.

The forums which are 'non techie' are becoming very cliquey and snobbish

Just to make you feel at home:

I'm not a fan of the format DPReview used either. I haven't been there in awhile, but it would only show 1 post per page, annoying.
