Quick question
I have just bought the above lens for my D5100.
And one of the specifications is Aperture: f4-5.6
Does this mean i can now only set the aperture on my camera to between 4-5.6? If not what does it mean?
Thanks

Hi mottyboy,
Actually that specification is for zoom lenses only and it means that at 70mm the maximum aperture (lowest f number) is f/4 and at 300mm, the maximum aperture is f/5.6.
In this particular lens, you can set the aperture between f/4 or f/5.6, depending on the focal length, up to f/22 or f/32, also depending on the focal length.

I hope I answered your question clearly, have fun with your lens :)
