not to steal mikes thunder but his photos reminded me of a balloon trip i went on a few years ago in oz.

taken with my first DSLR EOS300D with kit lens and before i knew what ISO meant or before i even thought about f-stops and way before i even considered tonal adjustment!

Nice set there ribbon and yes, the aerial shots over the mist make it for me, very nice.

The wife nearly bought me tickets for a balloon flight for my birthday, but as I don't do heights I got a days photography course instead! Besides, thinking about it, the weather here is so pants it's a lottery as to when you'd actually get to fly :cry:

Hi robbon. Sorry, no it's not my real name but I do feel like his character at times... :D

As for Somerset, I live at the other end of the county near Weston-super-mud (on a good day, they say you can see the sea!).

One thing about living in this part of the country, we are close to Bristol and the annual balloon fiesta, so I suppose that I may have to try and post some of my attempts at photographing the balloons.... :shock:
