just spend a week away with the caravan at Pambula Beach, beach right in front of the caravan Park. I had the kayak out there at times and would have been right on top of the whale.
I believe its a Southern right Whale.

We didn`t get to go on a Whale tour this time, but keen to go next year.

Had a tough time passing this one off in the Natural and Landscape thread

Shot taken at Sam Simeon- half way between Santa Barbara and Monterrey Ca. Elephant Seal rookery is active from Nov to Mar with thousands of animals present. Adolescent seagull flying above the herd was interesting to watch. I fiddled with this snap for a bit in LR and settled on this. BW with the bird brightened a bit and sharpened. I really like the composition but the IQ is off. Wish I could say the Fstop and focus were right where they needed to be. All this points to the need to practice, practice, practice with the camera.
