I was thinking about trading in my t2i and ef-s lenses for 5Dc body.

I have 50f1.8 and 28-135mm so, I would be using them and sell sigma 10-20mm f3.5 for another prime, perhaps. But, I heard 5Dc's ISO noise is worse than t2i. Is it true? I don't use my t2i for videos or sports.

What do you think? Saving up for a newer model is so hard. $400/$3500 LOL. *sigh*

On the DxOMark website the 5D's high ISO performance is rated better: http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Camera ... 2%29/Canon

But the 5D's ISO range is limited to ISO 3200.

Hey, Jiko - finally got your 5D3! Congrats!

I don't go higher than ISO 1600 with T2i anyway. Too noisy to my taste... That's why I am considering the 'upgrade'.

Before you go for a full frame camera, I would highly recommend spending some time/cash on upgrading your lens selection.
A full frame camera will be more demanding on your lenses and is generally the most expensive part of upgrading to full frame.

You could also get an external flash for situations where it is darker.
A good flash will probably work for you longer than a few camera upgrades.

Well... I think both the 28-135mm and the 50mm 1.8 are OK if you can live with that build quality but without a fixed aperture (28-135mm) and without weather sealing - and the 5D with its 12MP isn't as demanding as the 5D2 or 3. Still...

It sounds like a good plan to me.

The 5D is just lacking the sensor shake cleaning, the very good screen and the video mode. The viewfinder is nice and big and you can use replacement focusing screens (very nice if you adapt M42 or so - that's the main reason why I think of getting a 5D myself as a second camera), and - as written - it should be a tad better at high ISOs but still not as good as the 5D2.
