DigitalRev is based on Hong Kong - did you not ask them which country you should register it?

Magic Lantern is usually very clear about what you should and shouldn't do when installing firmware. Have you not checked the requirements?

If I were in your shoes, I'd get that in writing.

I'm aware of that - I use ML on my camera. The 5D3 is the same camera whether it's sold in the UK or the US so I can't see why the firmware would be different - "colour" is spelt incorrectly on my 550D's menu.

Did you see that ML for the 5D3 is only in its infancy so you'll have very limited benefits using it?

thanks Rorschach for the info when you say "if i were in your shoes, id get that in writing" why did you say that is it because they may not be able to cover me if something happens.

i have got 1 year door to door warranty with digital rev.

yes i know the ML is is in alpha im not getting it yet im still waiting when it gets stabilize releases i was just curious and eager to get it but after reading all the data im not going to rush just yet.

i need to get a memory card reader so i can update the firmware and your wright it doesn't matter if i get it from UK or US both have the same data.

Not quite. I know the 5D3 has an international warranty but, not wishing to sound distrustful, oral agreements or confirmations have less clout than something written or in an e-mail. If something is said over the phone and it's something you can depend on being correct, it can be repeated via e-mail to confirm the details.
