Please go arguing somewhere else about that horribly overpriced brand!

Wondering though, does any of you own a Sennheiser HD 205? I have two and they both sound different. One has quite light bass response while the other one has a dark sound.

Not arguing Ruben, just having a friendly and interesting discussion ;)

I don't own any Sennheiser products, but it sounds weird… :?

Ah well, Im sorry for any misunderstandings as my English vocabulary is really small and I thought that ''arguing'' was friendly.
It seems not to mean what I meant it to mean, Im sorry!

Don't worry about it 8)
English isn't my first language either…

Trust me, even though I love Apple, I HATE those stupid arguments. People should choose what they prefer, and respect other peoples choices.

I have those IT-friends who claim that an i7 with 8GB DDRIII etc. etc., just a very fast system, with Win7 is slower than a Core2Duo with 2GB DDRII on a Mac.
Which can never be true.
And that's IT-guys, even they are brainwashed by Apple's claims. Same with their everything; what they make is far from bad, that's not what annoys me. They make very good stuff. But their brainwashings and fanboys.... and now their patent-things. Phones with bounce-effect have to be forbidden? How could they ever think of that? It's integrated in almost all my equipment, which is not from Apple nor from Samsung/Motorola.

Ever seen their site, reading those arguments why the iPhonecamera is just that great? People believe it. And fanboys say to me that Im crazy taking a DSLR with me because they have an iPhone with 5 lens (elements).
Of plastic? I dont know.
I have only ''one lens'' attached, which can zoom, okay, but they have 5 in just such a small design. And Apple says that it's great, so...
And those tests, a 5D II against the 4s, 1080p. The 5D's settings turned down to look like the 4s. And what do all people claim? Look at the price difference, look how good my pocket camera phone organizer browser is!
Well, as long as you make the 5D look like a 4s, yes.

You got the ''problem''?
People all around me are using Apple systems, and that's good. For them. They can spend all their money on those newest things, every year again. Because the new 4s is so much faster than the 4 that you need to replace it.
Im sure theyve never thought of how much it all costs and what they could do with all the money instead of buying every year a new phone, ipod/pad etc.
Ill do with the devices that suit me the best, but the problem is that theyre all trying to convince me Apple is better, 24/7, while it isnt always right.

And I hate brainwashing and the copy-tricks Apple does and did and they claim that other brands are copying from them. Idiots. Please innovate instead of saying that Android's stolen the bounce-effect!

Well, excusez-moi! This was more of a thought than it was supposed to be

Good rant, mate!

I don't dislike Apple in itself but I really don't like the brainwashing and I hate the self-satisfaction and self-righteousness the fanboys/fangirls show.

I do own an iPad but that's because I felt its apps suited me best for a tablet.

I have to agree with you Ruben, personally, I liked Apple a lot more when they didn't try to "brainwash" people, as you so nicely put it. I used to have an iPhone 3GS and I liked it, but I just HATE Apple's way to make you have to upgrade to the newest product, they just started making everything incompatible so you "have" to buy a new one even if the old one still works.
Also about the battery, oh that's just one of the parts I hate the most about Apple. In almost every other cellphone, it's possible to swap batteries if yours isn't working well anymore, and iPhones tend to have a short battery life, so before you know it, your iPhone needs to be charged every 2 hours. That happened to my iPod touch until it just wouldn't charge the battery anymore.
And one of the things I hate the most, is people showing off how their iPhone's camera is so great and that it's now 8 MP and it has superb quality and so on and so forth. They even dare compare it to DSLRs, I mean, that's ridiculous in every aspect! There can't be any comparison at all between a DSLR and a phone camera! Even the lowest level DSLRs, for example an old Rebel XS, have a superior quality in every aspect, even with the cheap kit lens. iPhone cameras aren't flexible at all IMHO, you can't control the exposure, what I mean is that there's only Auto mode, there's not even a "Program" mode, let alone Manual, Tv or Av, where you can compensate the exposure, change the white balance, have different metering modes, etc.

That's just so annoying to hear people say that, it's just babbling nonsense. Even without going into detail, you can clearly see that an i7 with 8GB DDRIII system is faster than a Core2Duo with 2GB DDRII system, regardless if it runs iOS, Windows 7, Mac OS X, Linux, Ubuntu, or whatever.

And putting aside the iOS devices, I really see no point in upgrading my system every year, I own a couple computers, one since 2006 and the other one since 2004 and I have not upgraded because of 2 reasons:
1) They still work
2) They suit my needs

Even if the leaks and strong rumours hadn't come out, I don't think that would have made the difference. It seems like the iPhone 5 was designed to play catchup with the competition whereas previous iPhones were the game changers that the competition had to catch up to.

I agree absolutely. I'd never seen any cellphone being above the iPhone ever, and now with the Samsung SIII and similar Android phones, iPhone is at a disadvantage because it finally has some decent competence. It's great to see that other phone developers have finally been better than the iPhone because as I see it, before, the iPhone ruled over any cellphone. It's a shame that Apple is patenting such things as the "bounce effect" to keep the competition behind. It's just not right.

I've always thought that those who try using Luddite humour to say "it's just a phone so I don't know what you're arguing about" miss the point by light years.

Not to sound pretentious or like I'm trying to sound deep but smartphones literally are more than just phones - I use mine more as a mobile internet device than as a phone.

I want to keep loving my 7D, but I can't. Every time I pick it up, I say, "Oh the ergonomics are so much better than the 5D, and yay for AF that works and a quick frame rate!" and then I look at the output, and what it does to my field of view, and I get sad. If I shot more nature, I wouldn't care as much, but as it stands I haven't shot a "real" photo with it since early January this year.

It's such an awesome camera, but I literally don't have a use for it anymore. It's too big to be relegated to a "vacation camera" (that's what my XSi is now), and I don't shoot nature anymore (as much as I'd love to). I don't want or need the crop factor for my lenses anymore - I want them to be what they say they are on the barrel and what I know they are when I picture a scene in my head.

The only issue is, I need a backup body for my wedding work, and a 5D3 is a little out of reach for the moment with next years' bookings thus far.

Blargh.
