So this past Saturday I finally made it out to the nearby mountain range that I've been wanting to go see. I ended up renting a car and driving out there with the hopes of hiking some sweet trails and, of course, getting some nice shots. I definitely did not expect to actually climb the face of a mountain...but hey, life is more fun when you're spontaneous! As always, comments and critique away.
So driving around the area, there are a bunch of pineapple and macadamia farms. The macadamia trees were not in bloom yet, however the pineapple bushes definitely were. This here is a shot of Mt Coonowrin. I'm not a fan of the telephone pole in the shot, but oh well.

On the drive over to the main lookout area, there's a small cafe open for lunch time. This view of Mt Beerwah is right behind the cafe.

This here is Mt Tibrogargen, the mountain I would climb. Its about 364 meters high...not very large in the grand scheme of mountains, but hey, it was big enough. Especially for my first climb!

Here was the view from just about halfway up.
