I sat this little guy on a magazine ad page which had water droplets and a rainbow colour spectrum running through it. I just let this little felly wander about and took pics of him over the different colours.

i like the colors in the first shot, and how it reflects off of the bugs face. the only thing i would have liked to see is more of the bug in focus, especially in the second and third ones. i feel like it takes away a bit from the composition. i love the angle of the 3rd picture too

Thanks for the feedback AdamP. I was playing about with the aperture and tend to agree with you. I am in much need of a proper flash. When the lens is fully extended it blocks the flash so I need to rely on a different light source just now. It was the reflection in the third pic that appealed to me the most.

yeah i have the same problem man...not having a macro flash definitely limits you a bit
