I've got a little studio set up in my basement, when taking pics of my subject a shadow is cast on my backdrop. I've got two softboxes and an off camera flash but can't get rid of the shadow. Any suggestions?

You need to get your subject further from your background, or failing that position your lights A) more to the sides or B) higher up (or a combination thereof) such that they cast shadows out of the frame and off the background.

How much room do you have to work with?
