Unfortunately the Kipon site is woefully reticent about what their adaptor can and can't do. For comparison the Metabones
EF to NEX offers "Electronic aperture, EXIF, image stabilization" but notably doesn't offer AF, although it does allow manual focussing with those lenses with electronic focus rings.
Maybe Kipon have done better but I wouldn't hold my breath. I've no expertise in the field but it seems to me that while the other functionality requires little from the chip on the adaptor the close integration between AF processing on the camera and the motor and/or electronics on the lens (think feedback loops if nothing else) means that AF is unlikely to be a feature. I hope I'm wrong.
As things stand I think the EOS M has to be the preferred choice for owners of EF/EF-S glass who want to retain use of their lenses on a CSC, even though the EF-M adaptor from Canon is hardly cheap.
