Hi everyone! Welcome to June's Assignment!

The theme for this month is "Work done", as suggested by Ivan Manko who won the April 2012
competition. Be sure to read the whole post for the rules.

In Ivan's own words:
"So my suggestion for June would be “Work done”. Something that captures and reflects that feeling of relief, joy and satisfaction we all have when we finish whatever we were doing; a photo shoot, a car restoration, building a shed, writing a letter, same work in the garden…. Or you could take it as “Mission accomplished” if you like. I think it leaves quite same room for originality while being relatively precise. As for PP, feel free. But keep photos looking like photos."

The rules!

1: You can only submit one image and it MUST be taken during June 2012. Photos taken earlier will be disqualified!

2: All images submitted must be no more than 1024 pixels on their longest side, although you can include a link to a
full resolution version if you like. Flickr users must link back to the original version to comply with its latest rules.

As always, please exercise good judgement on what is suitable for the forum. Keep it clean and family-friendly or it'll
be removed. See the Forum Rules for guides.

Please include a sentence or two with your photo describing what you were trying to achieve and if there were any
particular challenges in doing so like, for example, any special exposure or lighting setup.

We're all enthusiasts here, so it's also great to see what equipment you used and the settings too. So please also
include the following:

Camera Model:
Lens and focal length:
Aperture:
Shutter Speed:
Sensitivity:
Post processing:

Submissions will close at midnight GMT on 30th June 2012. The final poll will follow.

Please remember this thread is for submissions only. If you'd like to comment on any of the submissions or ask any
questions, please do so in the June 2012 Comments and Questions thread!

Thanks and good luck!

Bjorn

We just did an Army Family Fun Run, and he was DONE! I couldn't pass him up with his cock-eyed "Doggles"
Canon 40D with 55-250 at Av / 55mm / f5 / iso1000 / 1/800sec. Did just a touch of sharpening and spot removal

It's July, so submissions are now closed. The poll isn't very long this time, but that doesn't make choosing much easier. Pick your favorite entry and cast a vote for this month's winner!

THANKS GANG ... We've got to somehow inject a bit of life into 'Assignment' so I'm thinking hard and taking advice before making any moves on proposing an August task. I'll try to make it challenging without being impossible and accessible to all. We just need the people to emerge from the woodwork to take part, please do what you can to spread the word.
