Hey guys,

This photo was taken at sunrise at Manly Beach Sydney last weekend, a few hundred metres from where i live. It is my first attempt using RAW last weekend, and also trying to learn to edited in lightroom. Tips, suggestions, comments welcome? :)

Thanks,
Richie

I like this set - the last two in particular.

Wow... that second set is beautiful! Those pastel colours and the photos' calming nature just make them so remeasuring to look at.

What kind of post processing did you do in LR?

Hi Evan, I purposely took the photo under exposed, so I could keep as much detail in the clouds and sky as possible. I used the the adjustment brush to bring back the exposure in the foreground (sand). Increased contrast and saturation (particularly for the orange sky coming through) then a basic crop as I had some volley ball courts to the left of the frame. I haven't quite worked out to do a succesful HDR image, but would have liked to have tried it on this! Cheers Rich
