Canonrumors have rated this one as CR2, which I take it to mean as worth starting to think about half seriously.

Short spec is 22MP sensor, likely same as from 5D3, 19 AF points (like 7D?), 4fps and a lower body build quality. More plastic. Claimed price of $2000, which in a quick look on B&H shows that's about the same as the 5D2, with the 5D3 weighing in about 3.5k.

My gut feeling, I would have thought there be a small increment over the 5D2 pricing, but I guess the lower build and pressure from Nikon may be persuading them to go lower here. Rest of spec is not really surprising. I'd nickname this model the 5D mk2.5 although I'd guess it'll be placed below the 5D series if the build is altered, but still occupies a space above the 7D. How about 6D instead?

Side question: would they make revisions to the sensor to add in phase AF like the 650D? Or would cause more problems with people who have already got a 5D3?

Maybe a 9D?

It might get a beser AF than the 5D2, otherwise there'd hardly be a reason for buying it over the 5D2.
OK... maybe it's going to get an articulated screen as well? A 60D with a full frame sensor and the 7D's AF that's most likely found in the 70D as well?
