Yer I did do a bit of googling before but like you said the reviews were mixed. I think if I'm not certain I'll give it a miss. If the camera is in stock in the UK i'll buy it here since the money saved by buying from DigitalRev is not huge and I'll get the UK warranty. Although at the moment nowhere reputable in the UK has it in stock. Even Amazon say 1-4 month dispatch time :)

I take it you are referring to the 5D2. As I write Park Cameras has stock. I bought my 40D, my 5D2 and most recently my E-M5 from them. Perfectly reputable!

Bob.

Thanks for the link Bob. I completely forgot about Park Cameras! I'm looking at getting the 5D2 pretty soon. I have a few more exams left and I do not want to purchase anything new before then as it will just distract me :D But my last one is in two weeks so after that I'll find out where it's in stock and purchase one. I'll also be watching the 5D3 prices very closely over the next 8-12 months.

Once again many thanks for all the help,

James

That is negative feedback! Every seller under 99.4 shouldn't be considered. Always read the negative feedback, why did he get it. The positive too, it might be automated.
I picked a new m2 on auction for 1825 $ AU. I don't regret it even though it is 4 year old technology.

Thanks for the advice. The negative feedbacks are for import costs although it never said they wouldn't have to pay them. If you buy online direct from their website the prices are a little bit higher but include import taxes. For the 5D2 I will purchase that in the UK since it is only a little bit extra and means I get the UK warranty!
