Hey guys - not been around here for A-G-E-S. Since my last visit I've been steadily building my portfolio.

It's part of a series shot on a dull day in Glasgow, Scotland, you can see a "making of" video on the video page if you're interested - my other favourite is from the same shoot of the model standing in front of (would you believe) a multi-storey car park. I didn't know the location before the shoot happened so I scouted it using Google Street view and when I saw the geometric pattern I know I wanted to use it somehow. In the video you can see me sitting on the ground in front of a UPS truck shooting upwards at the model to try make something with it.

I don't think the slow loading is your problem - I just switched to a new web host which specialises in reproducing the work at a good quality so the load times have taken a bit of a hit unfortunately, I've been taking feedback on this and gotten mixed messages about it.

Anyway I've now decided to make the switch permanent. This site will eventually be http://www.tinyhalo.com rather than http://tinyhalo.4ormat.com once I've completed the hosting switchover - you can still see the old site at http://www.tinyhalo.com - people really disliked the use of flash and the music and I eventually couldn't accept the low quality reproduction of my images so it was time for a change.

I agree with Phil. I think you need to strike a balance between load times and jpeg quality.

Never underestimate the impatience of web users.

Hi Scott,

Great website overall, but a few suggestions I could give you. When looking at your photos, my eyes naturally get drawn towards the center of the screen, but the highlighted image is on the left, so I have to keep fighting with my eyes to look left. If your theme allows it, maybe having the center image highlighted would make it easier for the viewers.

One thing I noticed with your video is the title is spelled incorrectly. I don't know if you did it on purpose as an artistic liberty, but the proper way would be "It's a man's world". I guess its could give it a more ghetto feel, but mans I just can't see, unless it also means something I'm not familiar with.
