wheres the best place to sell camera equipment, ebay is the obvious but expensive choice and im concerned about the possibility of people saying they haven't received the item etc.

It's possible that they can make that claim but if you ship the items via a special or recorded delivery service, a signature would be required from the recipient so plausible deniability of receiving the goods becomes less plausible.

Most if not all couriers should offer such a service. Depending on the value of the item, shipping where a signature from the recipient is required may be mandatory.

Amazon is another possibility for you to sell your items though I don't know what seller fees are like there.

Amazon's fees are just over 10% here in the UK. Works well for me, though, and I always dispatch using the Royal Mail's "Next day by 1pm" service.

I just use Gumtree... and I think that's the best way to sell locally..

I prefer to meet the person Im selling to.

But I recently sold a lens I had to send to London anyways.
