I have just purchased a UV for my new Canon T3i to protect the lens. I also have purchased a polarizing filter. Do I attach the polarizing filter to the uv filter or do I remove the uv filter first?

The polarizing filter will lose some light and the UV filter will add more loss, I take my UV filter off when using the polarizer.

Or at the very least, put the UV in front of the polarizer to protect the polarizer. But be aware that stacking filters can cause vignetting.

Maestro and 4xxxx, thanks for the advice and the welcome to this forum. I am new to DSLR and taking my Canon t3i on a photography trip to New Foundland, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in Canada. I plan to operate my camera in the manual settings so that I have some control over the aperture and shutter speed.
