First time out with a new timer-remote, and man...I'm a big fan. Prop up the camera, let it go for a bit over an hour, and this is what I get back. I biked outside of my little college town to some train cars that have been there for as long as I've known the place. On a clear night the stars are out in force, and the train offers some really great chances for interesting photos.
Next time I'm thinking I'll stop down the lens a bit, maybe just to f/4 to get things a little sharper...as it seems the bigger issue here (or at least, on larger versions of the photo) is that it's just fairly blurry by the edges. I think a stop or two increase in ISO may be an acceptable tradeoff. If anyone has any other thoughts...I'm all ears! Just thought I'd share my slowly improving experience with nighttime long-exposures.
