Ever since I joined over a year ago, I have maintained my profile picture/avatar from my resized versions on photobucket. I copied the direct link of the icon picture that met the size requirements and it updated just fine. But now, no matter what share option I try, it returns a message that the URL is invalid. Flickr will not work either, and it too used to. No site that I use will update my photo. Please help me rectify this.

Hi Gareth,

That "Show Gallery" option isn't supported here I'm afraid. So long as your avatar of choice is accessible on the wider web (and conforms to our forum restrictions) then just paste the URL into the edit box and "Submit".

Bob.

Well here we are several months later and I haven't had any revelations. I'm not going to keep posting new topics about this, but I sure wish someone would let me know what's going on.

By the way, I'm now receiving "could not determine the dimensions of the image".

I only put mine up a week ago, had no luck at first using flickr, but got it working with photobucket. I changed the size to 79*79, I changed the avatar dimension in the edit avatar section to 79*79 also, don`t know if that allowed it to work.

Sweet! Didn't realize that dimension section can't be left blank, and will actually resize it for you.
