I saw the Nikon s-9100 review on your site, and decided to buy the camera.

When I tried to use the camera to take pictures at night using the built-in flash, I got random spots all over the photograph (actually digital image), and on the photograph when processed using a photo processor.

According to Nikon, it is normal to get spots on the images when used with the built-in flash. Is this normal for other point-and-shoot cameras?

It would be useful if you could post a photo, but unless there is a highly reflective object in the flash beam, I'd say that spots are not normal or acceptable. It's never happened with any flash I've had.

But a photo would be of great assistance.

To HilaryC: I did not think it was normal, either. How do I post a picture for you to see?

To OldCarlos: No it was not raining when I took the pictures. We were at the Atlantic Coast, but not even any fog.
