Hi,
i toke a photo of my nephew in low-key, and i was thinking on making this photo a wall frame, but i would like to know what you think about the picture.

Hi! Since no one has a go on commenting I’ll do. I like the picture. It has everything I like about low-key and everything I dislike about it. So I’d guess it fine. My only criticism would be that his arm is a bit distracting. And in my view, low key is used to dramatically channel the viewer’s attention towards the subject, so the arm is a bit too bright, I would say. Maybe in PP you could solve it slightly if you agreed with me. And by the way, would the frame be for him or for displaying your photography?

I Like the composition. But your main light is way too hot for my taste. it blows out the face and destroys any texture. That's not necessary, especially on a black background where a midtone-area is perceived brighter than normal anyway because of the contrast to the background.

The frame is to me. The arm is a good point, i will try to check it out.
Yes the light is a bit hot, because the child hold the light to close to the face. I try to lower the exposure so that the light isn't that hard but i'm not a very good PP.
